USDT TRC20 Transfer Failed? What to Check Before Retrying

Troubleshoot a failed USDT transfer on TRON: check the transaction result, Energy, rental address and fee settings before you send again.

TRX999 · · Practical guide

First decide whether it failed or is still pending

Open the original transaction from your wallet and record its hash, if one exists. Check its result on TRONSCAN. A pending transaction or one not yet found is not the same as a confirmed failure. Do not create a replacement payment until you understand the first transaction’s outcome; otherwise you may pay twice.

Read the actual error

An OUT_OF_ENERGY result points to an insufficient execution Energy budget. A REVERT result can instead reflect a contract condition. More rented Energy is not a universal fix for every error. Keep the exact result and transaction hash when asking for assistance; a screenshot saying only “failed” leaves out important context.

Check the sender and remaining rental resources

For TRX999 rentals, the wallet paying TRX receives the Energy. Check that this is also the wallet sending USDT. Review current resources rather than the original package size: earlier transfers may have used them, and the rental may have expired. Our two packages last 1 hour. If a different wallet paid, contact support before buying again.

Check Energy, Bandwidth and the fee preview

Inspect both resource balances and preview the intended transfer again. Energy rental does not include every network charge. Also review the wallet’s fee allowance: a limit that is too low can prevent execution even when you expect sufficient resources. Do not blindly raise the limit; understand the potential cost and ask your wallet provider if the setting is unclear.

Prepare for a retry only after checking the result

If the first transaction has confirmed failure, correct the identified cause before retrying. Recheck the recipient, token, amount, resources and cost preview. A failed execution can still consume resources, so do not budget a second attempt using the original balance. If the original transfer succeeded, investigate the recipient’s balance or display instead of sending again.

Do you need to rent more Energy?

Only after comparing the new estimate with your remaining resources. The 65,000 and 131,000 packages are fixed amounts, not promises that any transfer will fit. Read how to choose an Energy package and how transfer costs are calculated before paying.

What to send support

For a rental issue, contact @klhtz with both the rental-payment hash and failed-transfer hash, the public sender address, error text and approximate time. For an exchange withdrawal or wallet-specific error, also contact that provider. Do not share private keys or a seed phrase. Support review is not a promise of a refund or transaction recovery.
